I lately bought this secure so my wife and I could safely preserve items away from our precocious child. This secure was an amazingly low value of $99. It arrived promptly through free of charge "Prime" two day shipping and in pristine condition. Right after about 15 minutes of examination, battery installation and securing the shelf screws which apparently worked their way loose in transit I was ready to secure our belongings. This safe is rather well constructed. The safe is created from 1/8th or.125 inch metal plate and pretty sturdy. I comes with four generic AA batteries for the electronic keypad. It has two "emergency" keys in the event the batteries fail. As indicated in the description this secure is 1.8 cubic feet which roughly translates to about 20 cans of soda.
I have a handful of minor comments the 1st getting the shelf is not welded but rather fastened by the afore mentioned screws and the shelf wobbles ever so slightly. The second was the good quality of the foam pads included and attached to the door to deaden the sound of the door closing. They are practically worthless and I immediately replaced them with some greater, thicker ones from the local household garden center. Finally, I didn't care for how loud the essential pad beeps when you enter the code. I wish there was some user technique of programming the pad to beep in a lower tone or not at all.
I would advocate keeping a flashlight in the protected or maintain the protected in an region that has access to some external light supply considering that the safe itself is fairly dark and depending on where you preserve it you will have a difficult time seeing what's in there.
