I live in an apartment and wanted to add an affordable alarm technique that could serve as a deterrent to intruders. I know that this GE process can't substitute for a centralized alarm method in which authorities/police are promptly notified, but I felt that the activation of a loud alarm could scare off an unsuspecting burglar and was far superior than not getting any alarm technique.
