I've had my method for 6 months and just replaced the batteries in the motion detectors. I assume that utilizing better good quality batteries than those provided will mean changing them closer to when a year. Not negative at all, offered that I do not have to run any wires to these places.
I opted not to use the window/door sensors, as they appear somewhat tacky in my opinion. Rather, I got a couple extra motion detectors to supply total coverage of my house. The sensors are somewhat adjustable. On the default setting, they do choose up my 4 pound dog.
In the past 6 months, I have not had any false alarms exactly where I could not determine the result in. There have been a number of days where I forgot to disengage the process and walked right via the motion detection field. Naturally, I can't blame that on the method.
Overall, I'd say this is an extraordinary technique for the price. The control pad looks kinda affordable, so I did not prominently display it in my home. It is in a closet. The motion detectors are very compact and unobtrusive. I've told family and good friends that I have the alarm system and most of them didn't have any notion, as the detectors blend in pretty properly.
Hi every person, i ordered the Skylink SC-100W (newer model) and received mine two days ago. I set it up yesterday. Due to the fact the process comes pre-set it only took me 30 minutes. The only issue i had to alter was the passcode. The motion detector alone would have been adequate for me as that thing is as sharp as a needle. Given that i have no pets and no children i have mine on high and it really is fantastic. The window/door sensors took a bit of playing about with but they are working fine (for now). I have my alarm on "Chime" mode considering that the siren is exceptionally loud, my ears were ringing all night right after i had tested it. Yet i have wonderful comfort understanding i can use the panic button on my keychain to activate the siren if i really feel i'm in danger. It really is so loud that my neighbours will hear it and will be calling 911 in no time. I had the alarm on all night and had no false alarms. It has only been 1 night but i am pretty pleased with the method. I'm told this a newer model, i am not pretty certain how it differs from the Skylink SC 100 Deluxe Kit. If anybody could tell me the difference that would be amazing. All in all i am incredibly happy with the technique and i am giving it four stars considering of how sharp the motion sensor is and given that the siren is highly loud. I sleep nicely at night....extremely nicely.
