I truly bought this from another retailer (sorry Amazon, I like you!) and I am Incredibly pleased with the overall performance of this camera. I basically have mounted mine outside the home employing the (included) aluminum mounting bracket. Please note that this camera is NOT waterproof therefore I have it mounted under the eaves where it will not get wet. Though not specifically marketed as an outdoor camera, I am happy to report it working particularly nicely in that capacity. The operating temperature is rated only for 14 - 120 degrees so when the bitter winds of winter start to blow I will have to take the camera down for a handful of months :-( As other individuals have stated, the image top quality is Fantastic (all digital employing Frequency-Hopping Spread Spectrum). The camera will automatically switch to a extremely powerful infrared illuminator at dusk and it lights up the entire entry way of my home (about a 30 ft wide swath). For months we struggled with 2 Babies-R-Us monitors in the $150 price tag range. We had been continuously battling interference and extended cords as we moved the 2 (for 2 babies) monitors from space to room.Then shopping at Sams club this week I saw the Uniden set and decided to give it alter out of frustration with the other set. With the Uniden we only have to have a single monitor and two cameras. The monitor is rechargeable so it can go cordless during the day. Interference is a issue of the past now. The monitor lets you scan through up to 4 cameras at varying intervals or you can place all cameras on the screen at when. You can manully scan among cameras and even zoom in and stayed zoomed!
