Purchased this last week for an upcoming trip to Europe for use as an added measure of safety in the hotel rooms we are staying in. Received incredibly rapid employing Amazon Prime.
Tested this transportable lock in my home with 2 distinct doors and functions wonders! With this lock on, it will make it particularly complicated for an intruder to come in to your space. Though the red piece is plastic it is reinforced with a metal plate underneath it which makes it certainly solid! This makes the complete transportable lock created of metal! As soon as installed, it was troublesome for me to go in the house. I think that I would have to kick the door in to jar this portable lock loose.
Amazing extra measure of security! I will sleep greater knowing that even if an intruder manage to choose the locks of my hotel space, they would have to kick the door in to open it with this portable lock in location!

When it fits, it offers a sturdy barrier, rapid to put on or take away. It can be specifically helpful when renting holiday homes or condos exactly where some realtors, property managers, or maintenance men tend to enter without having even knocking at instances. Too a lot of people seem to have keys, and really feel entitled to enter whenever they please, at such locations. Sadly, it only fits conventional doors, and only when the door and lock fit the frame perfectly.
I have by no means been in a position to use it at a hotel, and also commonly locate it will not perform in ordinary doors. Sadly, housekeeping and maintenance staff have keys to ALL locks, even deadbolts, and can even get into rooms with safety bars easily. I would like to see a new version of this for hotels, and some adjust that would make it much easier to use on "imperfect" doors.
